Zipp has released a new wheelset, the Zipp 353 NSW Tubeless Disc Brake Wheelset, which is an addition to the existing Zipp 303 range.

Weighing approximately 1255g for the wheelset in its lightest configuration (580g front and 675g rear), they are Zipp’s lightest tubeless wheelset to date.

The new Zipp 353 NSWs feature an undulating 45mm deep rim profile for the front and rear wheel. Zipp has incorporated their advanced SawTooth technology to give the rims a variable rim depth, which is claimed to reduce aerodynamic drag and side force.

The wheelset is only compatible with tubeless tyres due to Zipp’s use of hookless (straight side) rims. The hookless rims are optimized for 28mm tyres but can accommodate tyres that are larger.

Zipp’s new Cognition V2 hubset has been re-engineered with an updated Axial Clutch V2 mechanism, for quicker engagement and lower friction as well as improved durability. Zipp has also improved the quality of the bearings and reduced weight in the process.

The Zipp 353 NSW are compatible with SRAM XDR™ or Shimano HG freehub bodies. A driver body for Campagnolo users are sold separately.
