Wahoo Launches New Kickr Direct Connect Cable System

Wahoo Fitness has developed an ethernet cable system called the Kickr Direct Connect Accessory, which is designed to reliably connect your computer/home network router to your Wahoo Kickr smart trainer.

While an ANT+ and/or Bluetooth wireless connection works very well for most riders, there are still some who can experience connectivity issues or signal interference whilst using their smart trainers. This can be incredibly frustrating if a dropout occurs mid-race or during a training session.

The Kickr Direct Connect Accessory uses an ethernet cable to attach the Kickr smart trainer directly to the router for a constant and stable connection without any dropouts.

The Kickr Direct Connect is only compatible with the Wahoo Kickr V5 smart trainer. It is not compatible with previous Kickr models, Kickr Core and the Kickr Snap.

It is compatible with many 3rd party apps including The Wahoo SUF Training App, TrainerRoad, Fulgaz and many more. There are other platforms which are expected to become compatible in the coming months.
