Campagnolo Release New Hyperon Ultra Wheelset

Campagnolo has released the Hyperon Ultra wheelset, a versatile and lightweight mid-profile carbon fiber wheelset.

The Hyperon name is synonymous with lightweight climbing wheels, having been used on Campagnolo’s retired ultra lightweight shallow rim depth wheels, which were ridden by the Pro Peloton, notably by Cadel Evans, in 2008 and 2009.

The new Hyperon Ultra wheelset has a 37mm rim depth, with a 21mm inner rim width and a 26.7mm external rim width. They will be available in clincher/tubeless and tubular versions, and are disc brake compatible only. The clincher/tubeless version weigh approximately 1240g, while the tubular version weighs only 1060g.

The wheels come with a N3W™ adapter kit for 11 and 12 speed cassette compatibility.

Campagnolo have included their top level super smooth CULT (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) bearings inside the black aluminium hubs.

The Campagnolo Hyperon Ultra wheels are available now and retail for 3,650€ / £3,200 / ~$6000AUD.
