Campagnolo launches new Bora Ultra WTO Disc Brake Wheelsets

Campagnolo has released a new top of the line range of aero carbon disc brake wheels, the Campagnolo Bora Ultra WTO 33, 45 and 60 Disc wheelsets.

Compared to the existing Bora WTO (Wind Tunnel Optimized) range, the new WTO range features a new carbon design to reduce the overall weight, a new high quality finish, updated hubs with the addition of Campagnolo’s ultra smooth and low resistance CULT bearings, as well as a new spoke arrangement with internal nipples hidden inside the rim.

The Bora Ultra WTO range will be offered in 33, 45 and 60mm rim depths. All three models have been aerodynamically optimized for 25mm tyres. Campagnolo claim that the new wheels are more aerodynamic compared to the existing Bora WTO range, and despite having a rim depth of 33 and 45mm, the wheels are more aerodynamic than similar rim depth wheelsets in its class.

The Bora Ultra WTO range are compatible with clincher, tubeless and tubeless ready tyres. Previous Bora models have been available in both rim and disc brake versions, however the new Bora Ultra WTO range will only be for disc brake bikes only.

Campagnolo have managed to shave approximately 100g off the existing Bora WTO 33 and 45 Disc wheelsets, and approximately 60g off the WTO 60 Disc wheelset.

The claimed weights are:

Bora Ultra WTO 33: 1385g (front 640g/rear 745g)

Bora Ultra WTO 45: 1425g (front 660g/rear 765g)

Bora Ultra WTO 60: 1530g (front 710g/rear 820g)

Campagnolo’s sponsored WorldTour teams AG2R-Citreon Team, Lotto Soudal and UAE Team Emirates have been using the new Bora Ultra WTO range since the start of the 2021 racing season.
